We arrived in Buenos Aires on Christmas day and after some emergency sleep walked around the modern Puerto Madero district to get into our travel groove...mmm Coffee.
In the heart of Buenos Aires' posh Recoleta neighborhood...
Somewhat reminiscent to the New Orleans' gentry, the formerly high and mighty find their rest in these above ground mausoleums (Evita has a spot here somewhere) From above it looks like a miniature city.
Easily our best meal during our entire trip! In Buenos Aires' hip Palermo SoHo neighborhood....we feasted!
A requisite trip into the kitsch/touristy LaBocca neighborhood...
We took a trip a few hours outside of Buenos Aires to a "Gaucho" town called San Antonio de Areco. We spent a day and night here. Immediately upon arrival we were adopted by a few of the town's dogs who followed us absolutely everywhere. The town has a nice swim-friendly river flowing through it, and as I was resting peacefully by the riverside one of the dogs snuck up on me and "wet dogged" me. Beware the mischievous nature of the friendly town dogs - i suspect the dogs are still laughing about it.
